Ongoing           Associate, Psychological Trauma Center, Inc., A Division of the Preventive Psychiatry Associates, Medical Group Inc. Conduct psychological testing, historical interviewing, research, document review, and evaluation of psychological damages of litigants.

2006                Presenter, American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) 2006 Conference. Presented paper: “Group Psychoanalysis: Roles and Tasks in the work of Wilfred Bion and Antonino Ferro”. Presented with a panel on Psychoanalytic Approaches to Group Treatment of Mentally Ill Patients.

2004                Presenter, NCSPP Scientific Meeting, Student Paper Award Presentation. Presented and discussed my award winning paper: “Hysteria and the Transformation Spectrum.” Paper discussed by Lee Rather, Ph.D., Training and Supervising Analyst, Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California.

Committee Work

2006-ongoing   Chair, Education Committee, Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP).  Run a committee that designs, markets, and facilitates psychoanalytic psychology classes and conferences in Northern California.  Involves participation in NCSPP Board Meetings/activities.

2004-2007        Committee Member, Intensive Study Group (ISG), Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP). Worked with a committee of 6-8 psychoanalysts and therapists to design and carry out programs for the annual NCSPP Intro-Event and Year-long Intensive Study Groups in San Francisco and the East Bay.

2002-2004       Committee Member, Associate Members, Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP). Speakers’ Bureau organizer. Invited local psychoanalysts and psychoanalytically oriented clinicians to speak at graduate schools in the Bay Area.

2008                The Key to the Men's Room: What Men Talk About When Women Aren't Around. By Ken Solin with Dr. Amy Bandera.
Wrote advice for women at the end of each chapter. The book details a 15 year men’s group process.

Psychoanalytic Training/Education

2003-2006     Study Group facilitated by Peter Goldberg, Ph.D. & Jed Sekoff, Ph.D,(Training and Supervising Analysts at the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute and the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California).  Meet weekly to present clinical work and study various psychoanalytic texts.

2004-2005     Study Group facilitated by Enid Young, Ph.D. Met weekly to study Bion, Freud, Meltzer, Klein and other psychoanalytic theorists and give clinical presentations.

2003-2004     Year-Long Intensive Study Group, PINC/NCSPP. Year of intensive study of Freud’s concept of the Death Drive and elaboration of this theme in later psychoanalytic scholarship. Instructors included: Charles Spezzano, Ph.D., Mardy Ireland, Ph.D., Enid Young, Ph.D. and Michael Guy Thompson, Ph.D.

2003-2004     Intensive study of Wilfred Bion’s work with Ivria Spieler, Ph.D., Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California.
